I would be nice to have confirmation of that from other sources. I looked and found nothing.

Using the decoration of domes of a Seattle church and 2004 mosque as proof is very weak imho.
For the 'drill holes' in the meteorite can be many explanations. Impacts from particles in a comets tail for instance; they'd arrive at the same time and speed.
I've seen pieces of obsidian with likewise impacts here on earth. If you tap it hard that's about the way it splinters.

Then, as for the recurrence: any time table is very difficult on the moon. Much of its surface has been exposed to the cosmos for 4.5 billion years - and if not, that was caused by some big meteorite strike.
