Depends on what and how you drive.
Weight is the most significant factor on economy unless you drive fast, then air resistance takes over. But I do drive slowish (going with the flow in the slow lane).
If I take my wife and kids along (who add slightly less than 200 lbs) I get nowhere near the economy I can get alone. I lose about 5% for adding 7% of weight.

So if I lost 100 lbs - which would not be healthy in my case, but somewhere on the way is my target - but never mind, if I lost 100 lbs that would be about 3.5% of total weight on my commute.
That could easily be more than 1 mpg.
Maybe I could consistently break 60 mpg per tank in summer.
In a lighter and more economical 1st gen Insight the difference would even be substantially bigger.

But I really don't care how good it does. Any improvement is an improvement, and when it can be had for free I don't count the beans.

If I win an M sized Ecomodder shirt I'll try to post a photo of me wearing it.
The posting wouldn't be the hardest part of that
