On second thought I simply put a [i][/i] pair inside the BBCodes I wanted to not resolve. It sets italic and without printing a character undoes that, but it breaks the BBCode.
Anything that breaks the code and does not leave a trace is good.
Now how did I make the [i][/i] show up just like that?
That's simple: I put a [s][/s] pair inside that. Like [[s][/s]i][[s][/s]/i]...
It just needs to be a different code than the one you're trying to break.
Now how did I make that code show up? Simple, I put... nah.
