I used to be a computer expert, but too much time has passed.
I accept cookies, my main defense is to not go there. There
may be other parts of the Web I avoid lately. Cookies can't help against cross-site scripting. Browser extnesion can help there:

I should probably install that, but Facebook isn't the only bad actor out there.
