Is the screaming a regularly-scheduled part of your travels?
Mom is harassing me about replacing the trim on her house and finishing painting before Mother's Day. Apparently I am supposed to do that Thursday evening after seeing clients and in the short period I have between clients on Friday, because she wants to drive down to the valley for Mother's Day.
I took off the trim to paint it for last Mother's Day, but much of the trim was rotten, and while the old boards were, for example, .75" x 3.75", the new ones are .625" x 3.625"
One window should be good. Do you think that anyone would notice if the rest of the trim was slightly smaller?
Someone from an independent lumber mill was supposed to come out and measure for custom boards, but they never showed.
Of course, she also keeps telling me to fix my Civic and get it out of the garage so she can park her much newer Camry in there.
Of course, she also wants me to get the stuff out of storage that I moved just to have room for my smaller car.
I am doomed to failure...
I need to get her to commit to something regarding shed space so I can get my stuff out of storage.
I guess that I will try to get her to pay when they charge me additional late fees for payments that should arrive over 15 days early.
Man, my life is a mess!
I cannot tell if I am finally getting over strep or the TheraFlu just worked. I could not fall asleep until at least 0330 because I could not figure out how to stop swallowing. I took TheraFlu and my throat stopped hurting, so I laid back down, and my throat started hurting before I fell asleep again. I took it again four hours later and at the moment, my throat is not hurting, but I still have a cough, and my voice is hoarse.
I rescheduled my morning clients, but I have three more appointments today, and I do not have any openings to reschedule them. So far it looks like I will need to do speech therapy as-is.
I tightened my alternator belt for the fourth or fifth time. I do not have any hope that this one will hold because I used Permatex high-strength thread locker on it the last time, too.
Interesting times.
