The driver legroom/footwell is more compact than my 1976 Super Beetle was or my 1977 Porsche 911 Targa is.
Does anyone think it's any less or more than the Beetle or Porsche of the same era?
Did you know that the Porsche 356 is wider than the 911 that followed? Actually, the 356 was wider in the front and narrower in the rear than the 911 in 1964.
Don't look at kit car replicas, they are often on VW chassis and are narrower.
So which one of the Ecomodder alumni is going to by this thing and give us all rides in it?
EDIT:
Found a similar footwell image of a 356.

While the Type 64 shares the same drivetrain and suspension as the Type 1 Volkswagen, it is otherwise very different. The chassis and riveted alloy body utilize WWII aircraft technology, while the original air-cooled flat-four engine was tuned to 32 bhp.

Last of the first: This Type 64, the oldest surviving Porsche, is headed to auction

The two different camera angles do not lend themselves to a definitive analysis. I guess the truth is buried somewhere in the published front track figures (
assuming seating positions are the same).
