You can have that car... in 2009... with a gas engine of unknown size... and unknown mileage... and only in 4 door trim.
They better at least give a small gasoline engine option. Current plans (what is currently offered on the new Mazda2 which shares the same platform) seem to indicate a 1.3l or 1.5l engine. The diesel is a 1.4l turbo. If they drop a 2.0L in it I'm gonna be quite upset. It looks like a great little car.
The Mazda2 gets 65 mpg imperial (per European standards) which would be 54 mpg US. The 1.3l gasoline is rated for 43.5 mpg US, and the 1.5L is rated for 39.9 mpg US.
