I think it is PAST time for an affordable hybrid (or all-electric) convertible! Much as I love a standard transmission in a convertible, I would give it up for a hybrid. Were I a mechanical genius, I would buy an old (2001 era)Toyota MR2 Spider mid-engine convertible and convert it to a hybrid or all-electric car. unfortunately, my husband is LESS mechanical than I!
Of course I would have to convert myself to about 20 years younger so I could easily get in and out of this low slung car!
