Another option: cut a 2" hole in your cat heat shield and bolt this valve over the hole:

Although that will get you at best a little better than 50% hot air mixed with ambient.

That's a way to go about it! Currently, I'm mulling over buying this spool of filament, which should take the heat... in theory.
