I've had a thought recently to add an electric drive in front of my rear driveshaft on my F150. The electric could to be used for moving it empty short distances, and help with starting out and going up steep hills while towing.
It hasn't gone beyond that though, I'm not familiar enough with EV drivetrains to know if this is even possible.
