Are you talking about tail extension?
If so, yes there should be some benefit to it. There's a thread on here where someone tried it out on a 7th gen Civic coupe and noticed a decent improvement. I tried a more basic version on my 04 Civic sedan and noticed some improvement as well, although I could never really get a sturdy version that would last very long.
