Yeah, so it's incredibly dumb.

Another minor consideration, if the earth is already too warm, what will redirecting even more solar energy at us do?

I read Isaac's book on this subject once, and you really don't want technical problems that cause focused energy to miss the target, let alone malicious intent. I wonder how PETA feels about having a 10,000 square mile deadzone where every living thing gets fried when they cross into it?
