What's the definition of artificial anyhow? Something manipulated by humans? If so, by definition anything we interact with is artificial then, since it has come in contact with us, a human.

It kinda assumes humans aren't natural, or a product of nature. I'm not willing to say that we're separate from nature. Distinct, sure, separate, I don't think so.

Cooked beef is artificial, since naturally the meat would be raw and inside a cow.

I don't care what label is attached to what I consume; I only care that it isn't needlessly detrimental to my health, unless the enjoyment I derive from it exceeds my estimate of the detriment to my health.
