Yes.

I wish I had seen and understood the Ford Pavilion, I didn't get into geodesic domes for another seven or eight years.

The Space Needle shared the spotlight with the arches at the U.S.Science pavilion

They had a house with rotating circular sun-tracking/shading skylights:

They had an elevator that carried 100 people, cable-car gondolas and the monorail.

Fairs were pretty much over by the 1970s or 80s. The Eiffel Tower from 1887 and the Space Needle from 1962 make nice bookends.
