I am not sure how you went from bad and depressing Latvian potato jokes to french fries, but I congratulate you.
I tried to find a good example.
No good example.
Only potato.
Latvia struggled and for some reason people made jokes. Are they making fun of struggling Latvians? Are they trying to make sure that people are aware of their struggle?
I do not have any idea.
Many of the things that I found were along the lines of "In Latvia, no Starbucks or Wifi, only potato."
I did like one, though:
I go America. Hear childs sing… one potato… two potato… three potato… four… Is glorious America. Streets made from potato.
