There's potential for the sequel to be very good. Lots of themes at play in the movie; probably many I'm aware of, though I wish this was a series and not held to the constraint of 120 minutes. What ever happened to epic movies anyhow? Ben Hur had like 7 minutes of music before the film even began, and then a long intermission 2/3 of the way through. It feels like the right length to develop characters and story... I still can't believe they crammed Enders Game into 120 minutes. Maybe we're seeing the beginning of the end of traditional cinema?
Haven't seen The Sisters Brothers.
