Here's an old thread about replacing standard diameter tires with larger diameter tires, & questioning the clearance. Going to much larger diameter tires, you may determine you have "clearance". However, going to much larger tires, almost guarantees the need for winter, smaller diameter wheels/tires, that will take snow chains..... with clearance.
