Seems crazy to tediously dismantle a battery when the Gigafactory is churning out cells faster than a machine gun. Would be best if Tesla sold them at retail or even through 3rd party resellers like Mouser. If people got their hands on that format, new products might get created around it strengthening demand and creating a larger market for Tesla. I can't see how it's cheaper to get a junkyard battery given the labor involved, even if you got it at 25% of the retail price.
