Ah... Yeah the glue is a little much. Reminiscent of why they are called the Apple of car brands. Anyways yeah 0.81$ a cell vs 5.50 each for new retail cells makes it worth it to me. 15% of original msrp isn't bad at all. And yeah that's why tesla started using 18650 cells originally. Because that format was the most common. You can buy 18650 or 21700 cells anywhere you want on the internet, but by far the model s packs were the most cost effective.
