I am a bit confused by the question, you have a replacement quarter panel and outer wheel arch, but you don't have a replacement inner wheel arch? (Correct?)

If so, the technical thing you need to make the compound curve is an english wheel and/or planishing hammer. Youtube and practice pieces can substitute for books. I assume you have a welder and angle grinder to be attempting this.

However as GMT400 prices are at an all time low, you can probably get someone who is parting a rust free one out to let you cut out those pieces for cheap. Or you can drag home a spare GMT400 Suburban for under $1000 (with bad engine/trans.).

Mine hasn't been getting driven as much either, the family isn't thrilled with it as it is loud and warm because the interior and sound deadening isn't completed, and I am not working on that yet because I want to modify the body first. Got to love projects!
