Ah, the Used Car Department's dream...

The transmission in my wife's 2011 minivan with 211,000 miles went a couple months ago. Halfway home from the 1000 Islands. The rental, the one way U Haul with trailer a few nights later to get it home and gas for the U Haul ran about 8 or 9 hundred. The replacement transmission was a $100 deductible.

Hopefully I can stall on replacing the minivan until spring. A pair of snow tires is a lot cheaper than 6 months of payments on the minivan she wants to buy.

Hopefully I'm not trying to sell a 9 year old minivan with a quarter million miles next spring, but I don't know where I can stash it. It's too good to get rid of but not good enough to sell.
