The only 'scientists' not onboard are the Association of Petroleum Geologists.
The models improve over time.The computers handle more each year,and faster.
They've had reliable predictions since the 1990s.They just get better.
I can't vouch for the IPCC.I don't know what their decision-making process is.I do believe that they're not trying to freak people out.They have hundreds of economists involved and they realize how irrational the 'markets' can be.So they probably hold back.I think you'll see this,the deeper you get into the reading.
