This was on a 11.6 mile trip, the same route as my previous 12.6 @ 49.4 MPG minus the first mile (trip-MPG computer reset when I shut off the engine at a stoplight after the first mile).
This particular trip had almost-ideal circumstances. I did have to slow down to 5 MPH and start in 1st gear at a stop light, and it was a bit windy. Other than that I had the roads almost to myself so I was free to granny-it up the hills and lose speed, starting the coast at the crest of hills at ~5 MPH in a few cases.
58% improvement over EPA. Since I know my trip computer is ~1.5% optimistic, my next goal is 50.8 MPG to achieve > 50 MPG
for real.
