I'm sorry to hear that you had problems with used tires. I've been really lucky. All my used over-sized tires have been great. Matter of fact, our small Hyundai Accent, with used over-sized tires, absorbs bumps BETTER than our LARGER Elantra, with new, but standard, smaller sized tires.
The other day, put someone's spare over-sized BF Goodrich tire ($10) that was never even mounted, on one of my cars.....just wonderful. Might last as long as 60-70,000 miles. Within days, I may be getting one to three more used tires with very few, if any miles, for $10 a piece. They'll go well with my FREE used tires.
Because the tires were cheap & used, they gave me the capability to test many over-sized tires, & discover the excellent benefits of large tires.
But, you're right. They're just used tires.
