Took the Accent for a 600 mile jaunt the other day. The car, with 154,000+ miles, traveled over two 4000+ foot mtn. passes & two 2600 & 2800(?) foot plateaus, gained 43MPG on one tank & maybe 41MPG on a partial tank, with temperatures between 31 & 54 degF. Generally, the Accent is used for local travel. But, the over-sized tires have made the Accent, highway worthy. The Accent isn't ideal as a long-ranger, but it is very tolerable. The Accent ride helped my bad back, giving no problems in the long drive. The 4 tires, costing $51.50, were excellent, which otherwise would have been in a tire dump. Three of the four tires on the Accent were....... made in the U.S.A.!
