If who mentioned theft? When did these conversations happen? The only contact that I have ever had with local mail carriers, besides the relevant "Hello" and "Thanks" was last night when I received:

Quote:
I apologize on behalf of the Show Low PO and will speak with the carrier about her response to you informing her that the mailbox was still open. If you continue to have issues with your mail carrier please send me an email or call the Show Low PO to report the incident. We strive to be polite and courteous to all our customers.

We appreciate your patience while we investigate this matter.
The post office isn't the only one delivering packages, either.

I do not have any idea how common mail theft is. All that I found was one neighborhood trying to figure out how to stop it: https://www.turnto23.com/news/local-...th-stolen-mail
