EV Credit Extension Bill ends credit in 2024?

This bill discussed below early in the year

https://priuschat.com/threads/legisl...3#post-2979115

Is now garnering the bipartisan support to pass.

It extends the credit to 600,000 units per manufacturer
But sets the sunset in 2024

Not sure how I feel about this
but in general I think we need a much longer period to get out of the early adopter phase and much more focus on usable tax rebates on cheaper plug ins / taylored so lower income folks can actually use the credit.

My fear is regionally there will be large divides as the rural areas tax the few EVs that are there
without any effective means of getting them on the road in the first place.

Ah well, I think this is the end to the credit

Ideas?
