To keep track of the timeline of this project, I started another thread asking about cfd results.
https://ecomodder.com/forum/showthre...lts-38038.html

I have the parts to change the gas tank, timing belt, water pump, thermostat (it takes like 4 miles to warm up with an ~85% grill block), wideband oxygen sensor, and the idler pulley for the manual steering and non a/c version of the car. I'm still running alternator-less, but I can safely delete the P/S and A/C (weight removal) and still be able to run the belt as back up.

For the aero aspect I have 3 sheets of 2*4 coroplast and plenty of cardboard for templates. I also got a roll of lawn edging. I can get more coroplast at the home depot, but the closest one is 20 miles away. Thats okay because I need to rack up some miles to finish calibrating the MPGuino anyway.

I made the DIY version of lean burn based on ecoscorts description of Tygens module. I haven't installed it yet because I want to put the wideband in first.

Tonight I swapped the idler pulley and had to remove the a/c compressor and power steering pump pulley to clear the path for the belt. Turns out that the idler must not be in the same spot or something because the belt that rockauto and autozone says is the right length doesn't fit.

Tomorrow I get the last few parts and then after I change the struts on my moms car I will get started on the car.

@93Cobra, I think you are right about not having lean burn. Over the last few weeks I never saw (mpguino) or felt lean burn engage. Whether thats because its a tracer or whatever the reason is I am adding it.
