I've enjoyed the quality of the current gen ATSC and find it vastly superior to paid cable or satellite. Don't know why paying for TV delivers worse quality. Anyhow, I'm looking forward to the UHD version of OTA TV.
I wouldn't mind picking up another cheap set when they clearance them off to make room for ATSC 3, because I don't watch broadcast TV in real time anyhow. For my parents, I go with Tivo since that's the best OTA DVR on the market as far as ease of use, quality, and features. I'd just get a cheapo USB tuner and record to either a PC or NAS. I've got a Plex lifetime pass.
