Speaking of that, there's plenty of motorcycles, mostly cruisers with loud exhausts, and they are often revving periodically while stopped at a light. Are they trying to keep their motor going, or is it just noise for noise's sake?
My bike idles so smoothly that I can set it to about 800 RPM with no fear of the motor dying.
