The McLaren Speedtail ha a 4.0 L twin-turbo V8 in combination with an electric motor has been highly massaged for a high-speed aero effeciency. It has hit over 250 mph over 30 speed tests.
One of the more more interesting details were the flexible carbon fiber ailerons that are integrated into the larger rear clamshell cover. The carbon fiber layers are strategically laid out to allow flexible hinges be hydraulically actuated. It moves the flaps up or down depending on the aero requirements. It could be used as an airbrake or finely balance the car at high speeds.
