THe current stat-of-the-art (Rolls Royce and Aston Martin) is an hybrid octocopter. Elon Musk is commited to pure electric, and like Fuller he's ahead of the curve. Just not as far.

a gyroscopic stabilizer. So possibly all three are gimballed. The illustration is no doubt speculative any way.
