Theoretically it should go 45mph, it's more a function of how slow acceleration you're willing to put up with to achieve that speed. I had considered using that transaxle to make a fwd car an awd hybrid at one point. Gets complicated in a hurry.

Honestly though since your vehicle is already a hybrid I think you would be better off mounting an auxiliary EV battery pack and getting a charge controller to just recharge your existing Hybrid battery off your new plug-in hybrid battery pack. That way you don't need any additional motors or anything else like that.

Probably more gains to be had from weight reduction, aero treatments, and careful driving though.
