See if you can use a camera to record load, rpm, and gpm. If you have a scanguage like most of it (I thought it was a membership requirement here :P).
That would get you a feel for it. Start off idle at 75% load, 90% load, etc.. and go up to 2700 rpm.
Well I assume a lot of the diy tuner guys probably have a laptop for datalogging and can read the tables. I haven't really gone that far.
