I tend to dislike antagonistic behavior from either extreme of an issue, and they are worthy of ridicule. That said, being antagonistic back merely solidifies their resolve to continue their bad behavior and be close-minded. Punching a Nazi feels good but accomplishes nothing at best, and creates angrier Nazis at worst.

I watched a documentary where a woman of arab ancestry imbedded with a white supremacist group. Rather than be antagonizing, she just asked questions and did not respond in anger at their racist behavior. Many of the people in the documentary disassociated from their white supremacist group, or at least back away from some of their most extreme positions. She merely allowed a reflection of their behavior to be shown to them, and those who didn't completely turn off logic responded positively.

There are some that will always be lost, because for them, tribalism is a much higher value than reason.
