Tell them "send bachelors and come heavily armed".

I don't know how people can stand to live in these hyper controlling areas. What about the law that says you can't own more than 2 pets per person? How about 1 vulgar utterance per minute? How about no offensive odors?

The law about owning private property on your private property is arbitrary and defeats the purpose of private ownership.

Wasn't it NY that also passed a law saying you couldn't work on your own car in your own garage? I'd promptly drive it to the steps of the Capitol and work on it there, being public land and all.
