Yeah roofs tend to keep thing drier. Shed roof would be the same height, but do you really need a 4/12 pitch? Using glued edge sheet asphalt 6" overlap you get by on 1/12 pitch.
Last year I built a 10 x 12 garden shed, largest here without permit, about the size of my master bedroom.
Use outswing doors. They don't affect interior space.
