Cummins Ford Econoline Van Project

Good Morning, I started a Youtube channel to document my project build. It’s a 1990 Ford Econoline E350 ClubWagon that I’m installing a 1995 5.9 12V Cummins with a NV4500 5 speed and a Gear Vendor Overdrive unit. The rear end gear ratio is a 3.54 limited slip. Final drive ratio out of the transmission will be .58 so based on that I calculated speed versus engine RPM and at 1525 RPM I should be running 70MPH. This van is being built to travel from PA to MT for hunting trips so I’m hoping that I can get 25 mpg. Lofty goal??? I have plans for an aerotail and side skirts and a large air dam, all of which would be removable for the hunting part do the trip. I’d like to get your feedback and advice as the build progresses.

Thanks,

Jonathan
