The shell game is getting clearer from the 2019 SEC filing. Two important items:
"a spokesman confirmed that the W-15 was “no longer an active project for Workhorse”. “We had a change in management about a year ago, and the decision was made to continue our core business with vans and last-mile delivery systems,”
Workhorse "sold" their intellectual property related to the electric truck to Lordstown Motors for $12.2 million.
In Summary:
Workhorse CEO created Lordstown Motors as a vehicle to move bad debt from the failed electric truck project off their books. They are now free to concentrate on making the C-Series delivery van for UPS.
