The key to a composting toilet is separating liquids from solids. Our nordic club put one in a mountain warming hut last summer.
They are also getting pretty popular in the boating and to a lesser degree the RV communities. Way simpler and less nasty than holding tanks full of sludge.
Air Head is a well established brand and will be me choice if I put a toilet in the next campervan. Pretty cheap to at $1000.
