legally in California it's not a real truck.

in order to legally be a real truck it has to have BODY on frame truck chassis.

it uses passenger rated tires 105 load index

a pickup tire is 121 load index

also the Successor was the Chevrolet SSR which was a total failure in the US
Model years 2004–2006

which was based on the GMT360 truck platform also all the classics were built on a "truck platform chassis "
A friend out west has an Odyssey van,of which it shares it's platform with the Ridgeline/Pilot? If so ,that van carries more cargo around than all the pickups in Parker County combined (just a bit of confabulation). It's secure,weathertight,'long-bed',and can tow a fairly large load. And averages around 24-mpg.It's been a pretty good compromise to a dedicated 1/2-ton pickup.
