I’m not sure that my mounting technique in particular could be so easily adapted to other cars. My Saturn has a plastic end cap on the trunk, all the trunks are the same between the Ion sedan and coupe, with the distinction being in the end cap. The end cap provides a nice flat surface into which to sink screws for holding the sides of the spoiler on. I don’t know what the trunk looks like on a Civic though
