My new 'chore' when I got my first car, was to drive out to a dairy to get milk, in 1 gallon glass jars with waxed paper under the screw-on lid. Our mother churned butter out of the cream. Now I don't get butter because I can't buy a quarter or half pound at a time.
Four miles due West of where the picture was taken. That was how I learned to drift sideways on gravel.
