This is not a success story yet, but I thought to post on what I'm working on.

Extensive modifications are being made to make the Jeep off road ready. Stiffeners have been added to the unibody and the stock rockers have been replaced by 2x6 3/16 tube steel sliders. Probably added about 200 lbs to the vehicle, but the underside is smoother and the body is more rigid.

The fender flares have been removed and the inside of the front wheel wells have been smoothed out.

The cooling system gets an upgrade too with a higher temp thermostat, electric fan conversion, and new radiator and transmission oil cooler.

The electric fan conversion will probably net the most gain, but it is impossible to tell with so many changes done at once.
