Personally I'd be looking at something like this

My 2005 and 2009 were the most reliable cars I've owned. The only thing they needed besides routine maintenance was the 3-way valve for the coolant thermos which doesn't actually have to be fixed. The 2005 was sold at 147K miles / 13 years old and the 2009 at 115K miles / 10 years old.

My parents have a 2010 with 185,000 miles that has only had routine maintenance. (No 3-way valve in the 3rd gen)

The 3rd gen (2010 - 2015) drives better and gets a little bit better fuel economy. The 2nd gen (2004-2009) are a couple grand cheaper.
