I'm for letting Arcimoto do all the development work. I want to buy in when they reach their goal of a US$12.9K price point.
In addition to pants on the wheels, I'm thinking a full boat tail (it would only add 2ft to the length) that would start with a 4-6" step-over sill at the A-pillar and sweep up to shoulder height at the C-pillar. It would enclose the rear wheel.
Leaving the sides open for cross-winds sounds easier. Maybe an anti-intrusion bar on the left.
