The only 2 ways to play SD on a 16:9 screen is pillarbox (black bars on the sides) or to stretch the image across the screen, distorting the aspect ratio.
Kwikset and Schlage can be set to the same key, but you may have to remove a pin from one of them. I forget which one has the extra pin. You might consider the quick change style of locks if you anticipate needing to change the locks very frequently if you're thinking of having roommates.
I prefer handles on doors that get used frequently vs knobs since I can open them with my butt when my hands are full.
