Replaced the hatch button cover, water pump and belt on a 2009 Prius.

Button cover had become a sticky blob of goo. Took forever to clean it off the button after removing it from the hatch.

The worst part of the water pump was getting the pulley bolts loose. Finally figured out that a long 1/4" ratchet extension could pass through the holes in the pulley to brace between the bottom/slope of the frame rail and part of the engine.

I didn't have problems refilling the cooling system. Put a funnel in the radiator neck and kept adding fresh red Zerex and burping the hose until I quit getting air our and no more coolant would go in. Then I opened the bleeder at the other end of the radiator and poured coolant in until some ran out the bleeder.

With the bleeder closed and the funnel still in, I topped it off and started the car. That took the level down again. A couple of repeats of that followed by holding the brake and gas to keep it running, with the heat up to HI and the windows down until I got heat out the vents had all in that it was going to take. One last top off of the radiator, cap on, filled up the overflow tank.

Took it for a drive of several miles, no problems. Never any warning lights. A while after I got back I checked the overflow and it had pulled some in.

This weekend the left headlight is coming off. I'm going to take the bulbs out and put the housing in a dehydrator at around 90F for several hours to get rid of the moisture. Had to do that on a 1997 Taurus with persistent moisture (like 1/2" of water sloshing around in short order several times) issues. After getting it DRY it's never had the problem again. A little water attracts more water.
