I Have thought of fresnel lenses to turn the output into a parallel beam.
I have fresnel lenses (scavenged from old overhead projectors) in the windows of my place. They throw circular rainbows on the floor and furniture. Back to the sixties!
You waste the majority of the light produced.
Most likely, but if the blackout shield were reflective on the inside it would create a plenum.
optics and electromagnetism were some of my weakest subjects in physics. I'll be useless to you.
I did the experiment, holding a card over the top and bottom of the reflector, before I added the aluminum tape. I use that stuff for anything that would be duct taped now. It doesn't have the tensile strength but it cleans up a lot better at removal. Kind of like that white tape you used at Darko.
