The Greenbrier I was thinking of had the Corvair air-cooled engine in back and used to surprise new drivers with its coasting ability. Legend has it that the radiator on the North American P-51 Mustang used the expanding air to achieve negative drag, but when the Rutan crew set out to fly Voyager around the world, they spent a lot of time getting the cooling drag down to 20% of the total.
